The Packages SDK will provide you with information regarding the Packages document format. It will help you create and add your own project and license templates. If you want to develop and add your own installation requirements or bundle locators editors, the SDK will provide you with documentation, sample code and projects.

Packages is distributed under a BSD License. Packages source code will be available under a BSD license and provided as Xcode projects. Links to open source projects used by Packages will be provided in the archive.

Distributions and packages built with Packages can be installed on a Mac using Mac OS X's Installer application or installer command line tool. If you are looking for a solution to deploy your packages or distributions on a network of Mac computers, here are some available solutions:
